• At DoCoMo US Labs, we are involved in clean slate projects to better design the building blocks of future network architecture. Our group works on developing novel ideas in some key areas such as addressing/naming/routing, transport layer, network economics, network virtualization, and video delivery.

• My general expertise spans Communication Networks, Mobile and Wireless Communications, Mathematical Modeling and Analysis, Algorithm and Protocol Design.
• My traditional interests more focus on cross-layer optimization, heterogeneous wireless systems, MANETs, and architecture design. At DoCoMo USA Labs, I have been working on video streaming, media delivery, MIMO systems, network coding, P2P communications, all-IP mobile network integration, WLAN mobility modeling and analysis.

I joined DoCoMo Labs USA in May 2004 just after the completion of my PhD studies. I received my Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees all in Electrical Engineering from ECE Department of University of Maryland (College Park, MD), ECE Department of George Washington University (Washington DC), and EE Department of Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey) in 2004, 1999, and 1997, respectively.

I enjoy good food and wine. I love playing soccer, basketball, and table tennis. My favorite town is Adana, the city I was born and raised in. My favorite teams are Fenerbahce S.K. and Adana Demirspor .
